This 1974 LP by the Greek-born, Melbourne-raised Savvas Christodoulou has developed an almost mythical status in the 50+ years since it was first released in an edition of 300 copies. It features a young Nick Aitkin (AKA Wilbur Wilde) on sax and Celeste Howden of Lygon St. rockers Stiletto on bass, and by 1976, Savvas filled out the 2,000-seat-capacity Dallas Brooks Hall venue for a live concert. He has largely spent the past 50 years quietly practicing law and composing music. The album was mostly notorious for the futuristic synth-funk track, "A Dream Of Zeus", highly regarded by DJs, and when we discovered the original reels from the DBH concert (which Savvas himself thought were the masters for the studio LP), we decided to chop the two proposed releases up into one, mixing the best of the studio and live material.

Studio/Live contains a mix of Greek and Middle Eastern sounds, modal jazz, bouzouki jams, cosmic synths and dynamic jazz-funk. There's previously unheard live tracks such as the electronic churn of "UFO" and the spacious, hypnotic jazz of "Space Dream" interspersed with the original album's best, most eclectic tunes.

With newly reconfigured artwork and a 4-page booklet featuring a recent interview with Savvas and exclusive photos and ephemera, it will be available on black or blue (100 pressed) vinyl February
